Who we are
Kept Proper is run by Ross Jasper, trading as Kept Proper, in Cornwall. We are the data controller for the information described here, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact: hello@keptproper.co.uk, 07506 873487.
What we collect
When you book a free check: your name, phone number, email (if given), town, number and type of properties, and how you'd like us to contact you. When you download our free guide: your first name and email address, and whether you'd like email updates. If you become a customer: property addresses, compliance certificates and their dates, tenant contact details where you ask us to arrange access, and payment details handled by our Direct Debit provider.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To arrange your free check and reply to you (your consent, and steps before a contract). To send you the free guide you asked for (your consent), and, only if you ticked the box, occasional emails about rule changes and our services (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe link). To provide our service, including reminders and booking engineers (performance of our contract with you). To keep business and tax records (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Engineers and contractors you ask us to book, our website and form host (Netlify), and the providers we use for email and Direct Debit payments. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become customers: 12 months. Customer records: for as long as you're a customer plus 6 years for legal and tax reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
